Rhetoric is a chess analysis module developed in C + +. Rhetoric meets the protocol UCI (Universal Chess Interface) and provides analysis engine for most popular GUI. It works perfectly under environments Chessbase, Arena and Winboard.

Rhetoric is not the strongest chess program in the world, but plays a very interesting chess. In fact, their behavior could be described as little materialistic, so for strong club players, including teachers FIDE, can become a sparring training to consider.

What sets Rhetoric from other programs?

Rhetoric has learned to play chess from a selection of games against Grandmasters Karpov of the global elite (Anand, Kasparov, Adams, Gelfand, Bareev, Polgar, etc). We have followed a semi-assisted learning algorithm using genetic algorithms to try to determine much of the weights of the evaluation function.

That makes your style of play is unique in the world.

The program with the style of play is more human, certainly, this version of Rhetoric. The power, precision, and elegance of his plays is only comparable to that of a Grand Master.

Changes have added 3: Singular Extensions "to Rhetoric" Late Move Pruning, and a renewed learning algorithm. Rhetoric has learned to play chess ... But to play well!

It seems as if, suddenly, the moves were elegant, precise and follow a predefined plan. The improvement is considerable.
