Violet UCI - Violet is a chess engine written by Dr. Lindgren that starting in 2003. Violet is named after the heroine of the Lemony Snicket novels that Dr. Lindgren was reading with his children when he started to write Violet. Dr. Lindgren received a PhD in physics.
