I got better results with the old version, 3.15 (http://es.oldversion.com/windows/vmware-player-3-1-5)

Mcp8 Level: Fixed 9 starting position 24 seconds
Fixed CG5dos Level 9 without opening play 42 seconds
Fixed windows CG6 e2e4 h7h6 play after 112 sec 86580387 Positions

In virtual machine windows 98 without himem.sys ,without emm386 for cg5dos ;and
without emm386 for mcp8

MCP8 Level: Fixed 9 Positions starting position 62 seconds 2206068 positions

Fixed CG5dosLevel 9 without opening playing in 82 seconds

Fixed windos CG6 e2e4 h7h6 playing after 116 sec 84477324 Positions

Conclusion

Mcp8 ratio 2.58
CG5dos ratio 1.95
