ECC4 is a completely revised and updated edition of one of the fundamental books about the art of combinational chess. In comparison to the third edition there are 292 more examples but in general about 1/3 of the previous edition is changed, not to mention the different structure. The content represents the work of our Editorial Board of experienced grandmasters and international masters. Chess Informant has another winner with the fourth edition of its Encyclopedia of Chess Combinations. This beautiful and massive (659 pages!) hardback is filled with 3001 combinations arranged by themes.
The positions in each chapter, drawn primarily from over one hundred issues of the Chess Informant but also some games played prior to 1966, are arranged chronologically. The positions are well chosen and each is accompanied by a detailed solution. This is a great book and one that belongs in the library of all serious players who wish to improve. Highly Recommended for players from 2000 on up.

We are looking for volunteers to convert the diagrams from this book. At the moment there are three of us but would love to have more contributors converting the diagrams. The diagrams have been converted to jpeg files and with the use of pgn scanner is easy to make diagrams out of them. If you are interested in helping us, just make a post here.
